Indiana Jones

Noah has been pretending he is Indian Jones.  They play a video game and there are Indians that help Indian Jones.  So everywhere we go he is in his cowboy hat.  Then occasionally he will yell out to Eli "Eli will you be my little Indian helper later?"

Your a mean one

We were moving into our new house & I was packing my things from my mothers house.

Noah - Mom what are you doing?

Me - packing our stuff

Noah - why are you packing that?

Me - Its mine

Noah - Why are you taking that?

Me - Its mine

Noah -OH so your NOT being like the Grinch, I thought you were acting like the Grinch

The Bus

I walked in the kids room with my hair pulled up on the top of my head like pebbles

Noah - Mom you look fabulous

Me - Thank you (joking) I am going to wear my hair like this tomorrow when I drop you off at school

Eli - I am going to take the bus

Are your kids ever embarassed by you?

The Ice Cream Truck

We were down stairs and I heard an ice cream truck. 

Eli  "Noah do you hear that?"  

Noah  "Yes I do"

Eli - Its a beautiful sound

Noah - I wonder what it is

(I am silently laughing because I realise they have no idea what an ice cream truck is)

Eli - Maybe its a beautiful baby

Me - Guys its an ice cream truck

They look at me like im crazy, then I explained what an ice cream truck was

The Dictionary

At night we play a game with the children's dictionary.  I take the dry erase board and I make two columns one for each child.  For the game I go through the dictionary and call out words in order, then the kids have to tell me what they mean.  Some they know, some they don't.  

Me - Okay, Noah, what is a bat

Noah - Its an animal that flys

Me - Okay good, Eli, what is a bank.

Eli - Its a place you drive your car through

Noah - AND GET SUCKERS!!!!!

Me - uh, ya we get suckers there, but banks are for money, banks are where people keep money

Speed Potty Time

Eli - I am going to go tinkle really fast

Noah - Okay go really fast

Eli - No one is timing it

Noah - Ha!  No one is

Eli - I will time myself

My Body

Mom, my five year old body looks just like my four year old body - Noah
